I'm Kylee — the chaos coordinator behind Love & Lustre.
I'm a mom of two, wife, photographer, fantasy nerd, birth assistant, and metalhead who happens to photograph everything from newborns to weddings to boudoir to concerts. Call me a Jill of all trades. That duality is kind of my whole thing.
Most days start before the sun with coffee in the dark and music in my headphones. Music is my therapy, and the heavier the better. When I'm not behind the camera you'll find me with my husband and kids, buried in a fantasy book, at D&D night, or supporting women in their birth space.
I'm an extroverted introvert to my core. I love people hard, and then I need solitude to recharge. I'm warm, observant to a fault, playful, and I joke a lot with the mouth of a sailor once you make me comfortable. I notice everything. The way a parent reaches for their child without thinking. The way light wraps a room. The tiny in-between moments most people miss. That sensitivity is the heartbeat of my work.
I've had a camera in my hands since I was a kid and my first hired photography gig was at 14 years old to photograph MMA fights. I went to nursing school, became a mother, and it clicked. I wanted to document women finding strength in themselves, couples starting something real, families growing in all the messy, beautiful ways. I'm a quiet observer. A fly on the wall. Candid connection is where the magic lives for me.
When you work with me, I want you to walk in with zero stress. Every question answered, every worry eased ahead of time. I make space for wiggly kids, awkward partners, and real nerves. No stiff posing, no rush. Just an unhurried space where you can be yourselves while I document what's already happening.

Engagement sessions are included because they are how we get the awkward out before the big day. We get to connect, you get photos for save-the-dates or invitations, and I help you plan outfits that actually feel like you, pick a location that fits your vibe, and guide you through it so you feel confident and relaxed. No stiff posing. No "what do we do with our hands" energy.
I want to hear about your day — the details, the energy, and what matters most to you. When you inquire, I will ask a few simple things to get a feel for it. How many guests you are expecting, wedding party size, what kind of coverage feels right, and what the vibe is for the reception.. From there we will build a custom timeline that fits your vision, not a template

Do you have a studio?
Yes! I’m located at 205 N Main Street in Butler at Sacred Studios. I share this space with Blush by Justice, Hair by Rachel, and Serenity Massage. It’s truly a one-stop shop for self-care and we have package discounts for clients looking to book multiple services.
Do you travel?
Of course! I am based out of Butler, Missouri and my contract covers travel within a 30 mile radius. Anything outside of that radius is subject to a small fee.
Pricing differs for out-of-state sessions/weddings
I want to book a family session but I’m worried that my kids wouldn’t cooperate.
As a mom, I. HEAR. YOU. As a photographer, pleaaaase don’t stress it. My sessions are incredibly laid back and go-with-the-flow. I am focused on the in-between, candid moments. We will do a lot of playing, snuggling, tickling, whatever it is to get those genuine smiles.
I have no idea what to wear for my sessions… Can you help!?
Absolutely! Not only do I have a client closet of dresses for mom and outfits for baby, but I also utilize a styling service that will help you to build outfits for your entire family based on the “vibe” you’re wanting. You can even shop from the site, so it makes it so easy!
